Rajinikanth is a beloved actor not just in the South but all over India. Fans eagerly wait for his film releases. His recent film Jailer was a big hit at the box office. Now, the makers are working on Jailer 2, which will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
Nelson, who previously worked with Thalapathy Vijay on Beast, is set to direct Jailer 2. Although Beast did not meet expectations and received mixed reviews, Nelson made a strong comeback with Jailer. For directing Jailer 2, Nelson is reportedly getting a huge fee of 60 crore rupees. He is working on a comic subplot involving Yogi Babu and Rajinikanth. The sequel is also expected to feature stars like Mohanlal and Shiv Rajkumar in major roles.
In Jailer 2, actors such as Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasant Ravi, Mrina Menon, and Yogi Babu will have important parts. The first Jailer had a budget of about 200 crore rupees and earned over 600 crores at the box office.
Currently, Rajinikanth is busy shooting for his new film Kooil, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The teaser for this film has been well-received. Rajinikanth is also set to work with Amitabh Bachchan in a film called Vettaikaran, marking their first collaboration in a long time.
