After several major shocking developments in India’s neighboring country Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, an all-party meeting was convened at Parliament House in India. In this meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar gave information about the situation in Bangladesh in an all-party meeting.

The central government, worried about the coup incident taking shape in Bangladesh, convened an all-party meeting at Parliament House. The meeting was chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. During this meeting, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India is continuously and closely monitoring the fluid situation in Bangladesh.

He further said that around 12 thousand Indians are currently trapped in neighboring Bangladesh. Apart from this, since last night Sheikh Hasina has not taken any decision whether to stay in India or seek refuge in any other country.

It may be mentioned here that yesterday on August 5, External Affairs Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar apprised Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the rapidly changing situation in Bangladesh. At the same time, it has been revealed that the situation in Bangladesh has also been given details of how the situation may arise in the future.

Apart from this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, yesterday also informed the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi about the coup in Bangladesh and the situation arising due to it.

How did the situation suddenly deteriorate in Bangladesh?
Bangladesh has been engulfed in violence for the past several days over demands to abolish reservation for freedom fighters in jobs. Yesterday, Monday, August 5, thousands of people started marching from Mirpur to Dhaka along with students. During this period, the law and order situation quickly deteriorated.

Demonstrators occupied the Prime Minister’s residence in the capital Dhaka. Sheikh Hasina was present when the crowd entered the PM residence. After this he was hastily airlifted. who landed at Hindon Airport in Uttar Pradesh late in the evening.

Leaders including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader S Venugopal were present in this meeting today.
