Meta recently expanded the availability of its AI services in India, where the social media conglomerate has integrated its platforms WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger with generative AI. Besides this, the company has also launched a standalone website which enables users to directly access Meta AI from any web browser for free.
Although Meta AI is currently free to use, having a Facebook account is a must in order to prompt the AI virtual assistant on the website. This means that anyone who doesn’t have a Facebook account will not be able to access the web version of Meta AI.
Meta AI is powered by Llama 3, which can generate text and images. With a click, Meta AI can also transform AI-generated images into short animated clips, which can also be further customised via text prompts. Users can preview the image generation in real time.
